One heck of a spectacular whirlwind!! - Finding Nemo Reviews
What more is there to say about the crowd-pleasing ageless adventure? To a teenager like me, movies you can watch with your entire family and enjoy are hard to come by. What was really amazing was that I felt completely submerged in the underwater world. As soon as you enter the theater, the screen brings to life an adorable story with splashes of little surprises. From the eyes of a slightly disabled clownfish, you will follow him and his father through separate adventures that will teach them about themselves more than anything. And their tireless search for one another shows the true meaning of how "Love moves mountains".
All the cute creatures had strong and likable personalities, so it was easy to latch onto one and relate with him/her vicariously. Finding Nemo rekindled emotion that I haven't felt since the death of Mufasa(Simba's father) in the Lion King. Yeah, that's right, I cried, and not because I was sad the movie was going to end soon; I cried because, for once, loneliness provoked a wave of empathy that I had never felt before. After the movie was over, I was overcome with this "unusual" (cue spooky music) understanding for fish and marine life.
The movie was an overwhelming visual experience that: children will learn lessons and learn about the ocean; teenagers will find cute and heartwarming; adults and above will feel like a kid again. Everyone giggled and at times full-out chortled at the fun, silly characters, that you will fall absolutely in love with (the baby turtle "totally rockin dude" Squirt was one of my favorites).
So take my advice, if you haven't seen it, go now for the grander feeling only a giant-screen theater can offer. [p.s. sit near the front (not stuck to the screen though) to feel the difference of being in the SPLASH ZONE!]
